During the various POCA Chapter dyno events the past few years, the Edelbrock Performer intake was most often used. A HRM magazine dyno-comparison showed it to be very close to the top power producer in spite of being a dual-plane type. And the Holley 700 vacuum- secondary carb set up by Holley for the 351C & sold by several of the vendors has been praised as 'not-too-big/not-too-small but just right for the street' with the added advantage of being tuneable by the backyard owner who wants that last 5%. Use a decent-sized paper air filter with this combo & you'll be OK right out of the box.
