??? Carburetor Issue ???

My car has a Holley 750cfm double pumper carburetor (4150). It seemed to run well until recently when it started to cough and sputter when I try to accelerate. Cruising seems to be okay but I do hear a more prominent popping noise from the exhaust when I back off the accelerator also. It just started doing this the last two times I have driven it. I don’t get a chance to drive it very often, once every 3 ~ 4 weeks or so. I am wondering if something is sticking in the carburetor. Anybody have any idea as to what is going on or what to look for? Perhaps a problem with the accelerator pumps or power valve?
