Chassis reinforcement

I had the chance to look through the showroom at Hall Pantera today. Some very beautiful cars on display!

One thing that caught my eye was a chassis reinforcment roll bar that they sell. It looks almost like a sub-frame. The bar passes up behind your rear window so as nothing is inside of the passenger compartment. The base welds underneath your car and appears as though it would provide considerable strength to the chassis.

Has anyone had this component installed?
Any pro's or con's?

The price seems reasonable. Just wanted to get some opinions.
