Reply to "Chassis reinforcement"

I bought the kit myself. I have heard its what Gary used on Purple Passion to give the chassis enough strength to handle the targa conversion (the windshield too of course). It is certainly not an easy install. The rocker panels must come off to install the two side beams which is probably the only part of the install which requires major cosmetic work. Some of the other bars weld in on/in various internal panels. Bending/fitting is also required on some parts. It is not a plug-and-play unit. This is certainly not a kit to install for the weak of stomach. The end result is a very stiff car. With the addition of some bars running to the inner rear fenders with some backing plates you can really box in the whole rear. To sum it all up: Pros-excellent center shassis stiffness Cons-Difficult install. Good luck with your project. Hope I have shed a little light.
