All the ZF's I have had powder coated had a full tear down, and just had the parts done that need it. I don't know of anyone who sent in a complete box. Powder coat needs a surface to stick to,thats why the bead or sand blast the parts first,if not it will flake and or chip off.I had a customer polish his side covers first then black powder coat to give the real gloss look, but
as I tryed to torque the nuts the paint came
chipping off,so he had to recoated and blast them.
