from the rear of the block, which is easier to view in a Pantera, the rear lifter valley bulkhead, or intake manifold gasket surface, curves inward on the Cleveland & outward on the Windsor. The Cleveland has an "innie" and the Windsor has an "outie".

Since the Windsor is manufactured in Canada, occasionally you'll find a maple leaf stuck to a Windsor block.
