Reply to "Clutch disk problem"

The critical dimension with Pantera clutch discs is their thickness (assuming the spline fits the ZF input shaft). Too thick a disc causes many clearance problems. The friction surface will dictate the smoothness of engagement (i.e- no chatter or lots of chatter) and holding power, and maybe disc life. Unfortunately, you must install the ZF to find out how bad things really are. Most discs NOT sold by a Pantera vendor will need substantial adjustment of the clutch linkage: repositioning of the bellcrank arm on the cross-shaft in the bellhousing to start with.
