Clutch not disengaging

Guys,

I have a sinking feeling I made a big mistake a while back. I have been restoring my car since 2003. I purchased a RAM 11" clutch and flywheel to match. I Put these in the car thinking everything would work just fine before reading the posts about the special pressure plates and discs. i purchased a new slave cylinder, and CNC clutch master and bled the system. The clutch is VERY stiff but does not disengage enough. It will not go into gear at all but just wants to grind. I tried once but am worried about trying that again as my zf was just serviced. I saw that the clutch disc doesn't move much. Will a long throw slave cylinder take care of this? My new one is a standard throw. Am I in need of pulling the transaxle back out and buying another disk and pressure plate? I hope not.

Thanks,
Marc
