First question has to be do you have an early or late car i.e. with or without the clutch effort reduction? If it is early, the first avenue would be to modify to the later style (kits available at vendors).
The next question would be do you have stock clutch master and slave? You can play with the pedal travel to some extent with the bore ratio between the two. e.g. an oversize master provides more fluid per inch of travel.
