Reply to "Clutch replacement-ZF removal"

One thing I did when removing mine was to cat a 1x4 about 16 inches long. Then i reaised the back of the car with a floor jack, chock the front wheels and place the board behind the oil pan, actually on the oil pan bolts. Then when i let the car down......the rear of the motor comes up enough to pull the trans. Better check my measurment of 16" You may need more or less, The idea is to raise the back of the motor about 2 inches. If your board is too lond you will be on a 3 point stance, It is ok for the rear tires to just touch the ground and steady the car. You may even want to side chock the rear.
