Reply to "Clutch slave adj."

I wonder if some final adjustment can be done by feel of the arm where the slave is located when the car is running. My clutch releases quite early when just pushing the pedal in about a 1/2 to an inch, so sometimes I wonder if my slave is adjusted out too much (and I fear rubing on the T/O bearing). However, I assume that when the car is running, and I go to the rear of the car and pull back on the slave arm, that my adjustment is probably safe until I feel some vibration on the arm (then back off a little and then tighten the screw at that point). Would that be safe to assume there is no T/O bearing engagement at that point when you feel no vibration on the arm?
