Reply to "CLUTCH SLAVE CYL."

Well, yes, sort of... most 'kits' consist of part of a FIAT kit and part of a Chevy truck kit. No one ever offered a real repair kit. Problem is, the single seal on the stock cylinder seems intolerant of much oversize. Some guys that did this fix were successful; most weren't. Seals leak from rust pits in the bore, and homing them out takes too much cast iron out for the stock seal size to work afterward. Better is the stainless steel long-throw cylinder developed by the vendors: a permanent solution that doesn't leak and works better at disengaging the clutch than a new stock cylinder, for very little more than a new stock slave.
