Not quite true. Long-throw slaves do take a SMALL amount of extra force to disengage a std clutch, particlarly on pre-L cars without the 'effort-reduction' mechanism. No pedal changes are necessary; they are a drop-in replacement at the other end of the car. Whats more, most are stainless steel so they are essentially a "forever" modification. Finally, they increase the disengagement distance at the flywheel to 'tolerable' rather than the stock 'too tight' setup, allowing your expensive ZF synchronizers to live longer. IMHO, a good mod to make on any Pantera.
