The Centerforce DF021048 is a 10-1/2"; adding the terminal "S" to the p/n makes it an 11" which does bolt on, according to Centerforce. But any competent machine shop will be able to drill a second clutch bolt-pattern on a stock flywheel, probably while surfacing it- something most will need after 30 yrs of hard use. The bolts Centerforce includes are 3/8" and stock are 5/16" so there IS a little adaption (reaming 6 holes) required. As mentioned earlier last week, Tilton Eng. recommends a crowned throwout bearing for flat-finger diaphragm clutches, of which Centerforce fits the description. Bent-finger GM diaphragm clutches can use a flat-face throwout identical to the 3-finger Long-type clutch. The variance in throwout faces simply makes the clutch action at the foot pedal more linear, while adding a long-throw slave cylinder to your Pantera extends the life of your ZF synchronizers, which IMHO is much more important. The sum of the easier-operating diaphragm clutch and the increased pedal pressure for a long-throw slave add up to a slightly lighter pedal pressure clutch system that extends tranny life. Many guys like the 'feel' of the dual-compound Centerforce disc regardless of what pressure plate one uses.
