clutch trouble

After driving a while the clutch on my '72 acts up. When coming to a stop I have trouble getting the car in 1st gear. Then it will continue to move forward with the clutch depressed to the floor. Also the clutch pedal has become more difficult to operate. I have replaced the slave cylinder and master cylinder and have adjusted both; but the problem still remains. Any help would be greatly appreciated
