Cobra Jet Heads

I have the oppertunity to buy an old 68 f100 shortbed. I know who built the 390 ci. The owner claims to have 429 Cobra Jet heads. I looked at the motor today and the headers only have 2 bolts for each ex port. I was told CJ heads would have 3 bolts and Super CJ 4 bolts. Is it possible that the holes are in the heads but the regular headers cover the holes? Any help to identify the heads would help.
