Cockpit back glass removal

ufo-lowI really DO need a bigger hammer!

I need some tips on getting the back glass out, preferably without breaking it. Does it come out forward, into the cockpit - or rearward, into the engine bay? Should I start working at the top first, or the bottom? Thanks!
