Many of us have noticed there are apparently 'extra' wires running in that area. Haven't a clue what the Factory was thinking, but don't feel bad in untaping them and ash-canning the spares. Some Panteras had an extra high-tension coil lead also... Be sure to also bypass the stock starting resistor or you'll hobble your MSD with low voltage at all times except starting. Good luck.
