Reply to "compression depression"

Sorry that I did not respond sooner. I was lucky in that all cylinders eventually came up to over 135 psi. But, I still was unable to get the my car running correctly. After taking it to two local experts both agreed that the Motorcraft carb had to go. I had Miller Performance install a Holley 4150 and the car is now a different animal.

My only problem is a slight surge when running at constant speed. The temperature gauge shows 160 degrees which is the setting on my themostat. I believe that the car should run at between 180 and 190 degrees based on what I have read. I am in the process of changing the thermostat, replscing the hoses, painting the tanks etc and I should be back on the road this weekend.

Hope all is going well with your cars as mine is a blast to drive now that she runs like a Pantera. Bruce32751 - proud owner of 4236
