Reply to "Concorso Alternative"

The alternative event, La Dolce Vita (Monterey Bay Concours), had been scheduled for Thursday but is now going head to head with Concorso Italiano on Friday. It creates a conflict, but it does remove the conflict with the Baja Cantina event.

Nether POCA nor PCNC have an official relationship with either event.

Personally, I have not been to Concorso for a few years, since I am more of a track guy and have seen enough acreage of Magnum PI wannabes for a lifetime. This year, I will skip the track for a change and go to an event on Friday. The La Dolce Vita event is half the cost and is in a known-good place, so I will give it a shot.

The event that gets the majority of Ferraris will come out on top. Concorso pays a promotion fee to the car clubs, so there is a lot of money involved for the Ferrari folks which has been responsible for much of the back office drama in recent years. It will be interesting to see how it plays out with the new Concorso owner.

It's la vita loca. Smiler
