Not cheap. Every spot within 75 miles increases room rates for this weekend. And most are already filling, or filled, up. No, really - filled up NOW.
For simplicity go the P.I. or PCNC route. I am returning for my third year to a Days Inn just off the 101 in north Monterey, a 10 minute drive to the Concorso, except it takes about an hour on THE day. The kind desk clerk gave me a break - $139 Thursday, $229 Friday. Same room @ night. Told ya they marked them up.
You should know entry ticket prices rise the closer you get. Exibitor prices go up March 1, not sure about general admission.
Thursday/Saturday dinner in town will cost what a good dinner does, PCNC Friday dinner is very affordable if you reserve in time to get a spot.
Prices for event food are of course higher than they should be. I pack a picnic lunch in the car for Concorso, and P.I. has a great spread for Saturday lunch at Laguna.
Hot spots? Hanging with everyone else. PCNC hospitality is open to all, I imagine you can also find a welcome at the P.I. hotel.
Next to Vegas Fun Rally, this is the best Pantera event around. And THE best for looking, talking, learning, dreaming about what you would do if only someone would let you win the lottery. True Disneyland for car junkies.
