The Group 4 that sold for $47K was probably bought by the owner.

That doesn't surprise me, in fact nothing surprises me in the 'UnderWorld' of Auctioneering.

There was an R&S guy on the floor that kept getting mystery cell phone calls when the biding was stalling for some cars. None of his clients ever came in with the high winning bid Wink

If the Group 4 owner did buy back he had to spend at least $4,700 in commissions (4% seller commission for 'no reserve', 6% 'with rserve')to end up with his own car, so I guess it must have been some 'private offer'. I thought the car was executed reasonably well, but still needed further upgrades e.g. still had stock brakes.

In talking to a couple guys at the auction who seemed to know the circuit well the buy back game is more prevelant than I thought.
