coolant problem

I can not get my temp past 100 degrees. The problem started after I replaced the lower coolant hoses. Even in 85 degree weather the temp stays low. I have bled the air out so many times that it looks like my car is perminently jacked up in the back. Each time I can get about a half to one pint of coolant in. This amount may be caused by the slight spewing out the cap though (that's a different problem). When I did the hoses I replaced the themostat with a 190. Did I go too high? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
