Got my seats back some while ago, only got around to installing this week. My thoughts were to replicate the original seat pattern, but in a more comfortable, useable, supportive, and more appropriate material.
Gary found a 2" leather pleat that was a dead ringer for the Pantera originals. He did that for the center section. He used a 'longer grained' side piece (like the original, but not as overdone). I'd always like the photos of the factory prototype seats in the first press releases.
We decided to do the 'top stitching' in a gray thread to match the charcoal factory carpet. It absolutely does too.
To me, these seats fit all intentions. I saved my old seats (as I have every single thing ever to come off this car that MIGHT find its way back to it). They're wrapped and stored.
For now, me and my bootie really appreciate the following transformation...
