Reply to "CT to FL trip in a '71 Pushbutton Next week"

I'm not close enough to I-95 to offer assistance (but would!) however want to greatly ENCOURAGE you on this journey. You'll remember it forever.

I've made some of my funnest trips EVER in a somewhat unsettled older car with only a toolbox and prayer as my support. A Dino 246 from NYC to Alabama; A 65 'Vette from Chicago; a TR8 from Chicago; An Alfa GTV from West Lousiana (Texas really); an M-roadster from Philly; and (drum roll) a 71 442 from Los Angeles... all to my home in Alabama.

"Fun" does not begin to describe them, and a story or two always emerges...

I burned my arm on a header, ran over a cat, bought oil by the case, made epoxy do things it was never designed for, and found more than a few friends (also known as angels) along the way. I've seen the sunrise on deserted roads at 105 mph, coffee clinched between my freezing thighs, gotten "lost" which turned out better than "found", and had meals to rival a 5-star for 1-star money.

Take a camera, a notebook, and a sense of adventure. Oh, and have fun.
