FWIW, my annual insurance bill just went up by over $1,000 per year now that my son has his drivers permit. Despite the fact that he is NOT a driver on the Pantera, the insurance went up on it (and all my cars) because he can access the car and 'might' drive it. As a matter of fact, my wife's sister snuck out with my in-law's car before she had her license and got into an accident.
