Decklid Strut mounting location/brackets

I'm trying to figure out how and exactly where the decklid struts mount, especially on the bottom. I have a couple of pieces of angle iron bolted to the wheel well panel but these are obviously incorrect. The new struts want to wrap the decklid. Picures of other cars seem to show the bottom attachment point at the very end of the wheel well. Is there a bracket or something to attach to? Anyone have a diagram or pictures. Also, what does the decklid attachment point look like? Thanks
