No problem Jack. yes I knew the build date on my car also. It has always been registered in CA but Never had an EGR valve installed. When I bought the car it passed without the EGR. Could have polluted twice as much and still pass!
I was in the console looking that heater valve over and couldn't even get my had in there let alone tools!
Might wait for a tech session this year and see how it is done by the pros.
Until then, I am just fine without heat. No problem so far and we are past the cold here.
I just bought the car last October and still need to lean things about it.
One step at a time
Most everything has already been updated so no serious problems coming up for me...fingers crossed of course!
