Disaster??? (Roll pin found in oil pan)

I have removed the engine to have the sump plug leak repaired and to change the rear oil seal.

after draining the oil and then going to clean the sump (oil Pan?) I found in the bottom, floating around a roll Pin (mills pin) its a
sixteenth of an inch diameter, and three quarters of an inch long.

It appears completely undamaged, does anyone have any idea where it has come from.

No other debris was found.
