Distributor points to elec.ign

I took the old shorty points distributor,took out the points,cam,base plate and vac advance pod to just go with mech. advance and put in corresponding elec.
ign. parts.Can't find any other dist. housing to clear the webers and manifold,
any opinions? Also, anyone know the correct
spacing for dist. gear? Dist.seats 1/4" to
highand with grease on bottom of gear,it goesover the pump shaft but gear looks like it bottoms out at the stop. Thanks
