Experience has shown that-
1)- many if not all street 351-Cs make more power on today's crummy gas with less advance, like 32-36 total
2)- running more than 38 degrees for other than drag-racing often causes heating and detonation problems
I would schedule an hour of dyno time with a knowlegable engine guy, run only premium fuel and be careful of the water temp. Or, cut the advance back a few degrees
