Ok, I admit it, I'm a boob.
While changing a faulty boot on the coil wire, I knocked 3 plug wires loose
from the cap. I thought I knew right where they went, but when I went to start
it I got a backfire. So I go back to switch the wires back around
but...........uh..........I failed to note which 3 they were!
So I figure it's best I start at ground zero, I bust out my many manuals which
show wire placement for the 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 firing order but do to the amount of
advance my distributor may have, it's tough to tell the orientation of the #5
and #6 cap positions.
So, looking at the cap through the drivers side quarter window, which wire
goes on the drivers side of the caps forward retaining clip, #5 or #6?
