Yea...Form & Function....interesting.
Pure looks wise i would agree with you all on the lites story, but both my Pantera's over the years exhibted the same problem,- (One i am sure could have been corected, but...)...hit the button to pop up the lites and here they come up, flopping and tremblling like crazy with the light beams flickering around all over the place when you hit bumps...But back to Function....all the bits i removed from the lite asseblies, levers/bolts, brackets, motors etc. weighed well over 40 lbs. On EACH side for goodness sake....Goran Malmberg says he got 46lbs off on each side, so in my case they had to go....Once you start this weight - loss 'thing' it all starts going mad...The frt & rear lid panels, remove glass all round, center instrument panel /console, lite rad. and lite wheels etc.....The Crazy Mad Swede Goran even shaves/cuts/lightens down his door-hinges to save a few kilo's....His car with heavy, cast iron block, 8liter+ Hemi-Head Chyrsler motor comes in around 2600lbs....must be the lightest non-space-framed street Pantera around......
