Form & Function crops up again with the sidescoops thread seen somewhere else recently. Going for looks fine....anything goes, according to taste. But we do know that for the side scoops to pull air in they must be big....as in; stick out....at least 6inchs or more, it has been said ( i think by Hall way back....his drag car clocked a .02" difference thru the quarter with a set of his 'Bunny Eared' scoops which is what i started out with, but my 'new' ones are even bigger and stick out more, in carbon, and cover more area without loseing the rear gill/grills which i agree look gr8,...So i left them on....The added benificial function these scoops have is to change the direction of the flow of air,at speed of course, to flow from the scoops down thru the engine compartment and out the bottom of the car....also a good thing i am told.....
