I rebuilt both my door handle and the pins were not hammered over like yours. I reused my pins. One of my plastic tubs was broken but I replaced both, (the original tub is for sale if anyone is interested). I also purchased replacement door handle springs but they seemed very stiff so I did not use them, (also for sale). The original springs seem to work with a reasonable tension but there is not much "meat" where they contact the handle and the tub. When everything is together they do fit and work ok.
