I am sorry Mr. Pushbutton but the reason I didn't answer was I have never had this fail on my car just yet so I don't know. I do know the car doors open real wide, but they have to because the car is so hard to get in and out of. I also know those dorr kits are getting real popular with customizers and there are companies out there that will make them for any model car out there. The ones i am talking about lift up and out at the same time. Sort of like a cross between what lambo doors do and regular doors. This lets you get out in a tighht parking space without banging your door in to the next car. You may check those out and see what you think.
