I have understood it that those things you are showing are for the rubber seal in the door opening, not on the door itself. I installed mine in the door opening and if you cut the new door seal to be the right length, they just insert into the hole in each end of the rubber seal at the top corner and sit there nicely. But maybe I got it all wrong?
