Drilling drain holes...

Back in the 80s, in San Diego, I needed a little work on my 73L. I had the pleasure of finding Lance Nist and while he was doing the repairs on his lift, he noticed that I needed a few drain holes drilled into some members under the car (He said it was a known issue and a common "upgrade"). He just pulled out a drill and ~1/4" bit and went zip-zip...I think it was about 1/3 of the way from the back of the car.

Anyway, this weekend I was trying to show someone the little mod...and I couldn't find the holes. Anyone know what I was looking for?
