I just had a similar situation. The car would fire, but not run. Pulled absolutely every thing apart. Was acting like it was out of gas.

It turned out to be the ignition switch. The switch had failed only in the run position.

Strangest thing I think I have ever run across. Weird.

Do you have a spare ignition switch you can try?
