when fitting the new blue thunder intake, I also raised my center screen, probably no more than 1/4 of an inch. But I also reworked the side cover brackets.

I overlaid the stock brackets with sheet metal triangles that were a little bit taller, which allowed a higher mounting of the side covers, making them even with the raised center. Probably need to note this is an early car with the side covers held on by screws.

thing to take note of if raising the center section is to make sure it is level to the rear deck lid, and ideally no taller than it, also.
