Reply to "eBay Goose "WOW""

A lot of reasonable but not spectacular Mangustas have been bought in the last year with the apparent intention of a quick high-profit resale.

8Ma938 (formerly yellow and now blue) sold a bit more than a year ago on eBay for $47K and it's now on the market with what looks like just a paint job for $125K. 8Ma518 was on the market for $50K last year and I wasn't quick enough. Now it's for sale in Europe for 70K euro (I think). Same for 8Ma954 which I also just missed at around $60K was bought for a quick-flip and has been sitting for 6 months on offer at $90K.

Guys selling average cars at huge mark-ups or otherwise high prices have now, IMHO, missed the boat and it will be quite a while before they see the kinds of profits they are seeking. That said, $150K for a perfect, original and very low-mileage Mangusta will probably look like a very fair price after all this economic devastation is over. I hope so anyway because otherwise I'll never be able to justify the time and cost to restore mine!
