There is a reason for the price of everything.
A low price would mean Vic wants to dominate the market. Looks like his marketing people priced them competitively with the AFD & CHI offerings, but not to dominate. Maybe they figure Vics name will the make the difference. Or the greater availability would result in a competitive edge.
Or perhaps they have a fixed number of Cleveland heads per year they want to produce & market research indicated they would sell that many at that price.
There is no word yet on how the Edelbrock heads actually perform.
The price of a product rarely reflects what it costs to manufacture. And the price of a Cleveland head does not have to be competitive in the Windsor head market.
