No - I don't think it damaged anything.

It was just the smell you get around electronics when something is getting hot.

It's like what you used to smell out of the back of old time tube-TV when it was on. It's also a new engine bay, and a new wiring configuration, so maybe I'm just burning the dust off of it.

I didn't see any Pope-smoke coming up like Suburb's Voltage regulator.
