I just used a pick with a hook on the end and got both of mine with a bit of work. George's idea i'm sure is better. Along this line make sure you clean the contact point on both switches. You'll be pulling your hair out why it won't work. I just sanded both of mine with sandpaper. Also I bought the LED lights for these since the incandescent bulbs will melt the red lens.
