Engine Bay detailing question

Hi., I was wondering what everyone has been using to fill in the spot weld indentations in the engine area to smooth out the look of the metal .I had a concern that the flexing of the wheel well area might make body filler "pop-off" Any suggestions or success stories with a certain type of body filler that you have used?
