I had my car on a hoist this morning at work.(For the first time) I noticed my oil pan is still blue. As you said, it appears to be a darker blue color than what I remember. Eventually I want to detail the engine compartment to a near stock condition. Our shop is closed on Saturdays, so I had time to look it over really well for the first time. Everything looks good, rust free and such. What I was trying to find was a mystery rattle under the car. It sounds like its coming from the left rear or possibly the center tunnel? A thump thump noise over bumps. I have tighten and inspected everything that I can think of. Its a head scratcher. Is there something where the linkage goes in the console? I would bet real money its coming from the left rear. I have yet to remove the bulkhead for the first time and view the engine from the front. Well, hopefully I will find this gremlin too. I can't be having thumping noises in my new toy!
