Engine Cuts out at High Rpms

On rare occasions..I have push the 351 past 5000rpm. I noticed lately at about 4800 to 5000 the engine "seems" to shut down and the tack quickly drops to 0. As soon as I take my foot out of the gas, the engine comes back and runs fine...but if I push it hard again...same problem occurs.
I have installed a new MSD plug and play distributor, fuel filter. I also noticed something today on my car. There are two voltage resistors inline with my Accel coil..why I wonder? I think the engine cutting out is a newer developement, I don't recall it happening before.
Any suggestions appreciated.
