engine performance

Hi Jack, I will be appreciate if you could answer this question. I have recently fitted my GT5 with a 750 Holley D/P, single point electronic Distributor and the engine doesn`t perform the way I aspect to be. Is this conversion not right? Also the engine miss firing. The engine is stock I thought I could add some PUNCH to the car. I wish you could tell what went wrong and give some tips to my dream. Thank you
