A diode lets current flow in only one direction. I would use an amp meter to determine the aperage drew that the fans use. Then I would take that information to my local Radio Shack. Or If you dont have access to an DC ampmeter. You could say....It runs off a 20 amp fuse ..so size it for a bit more than 20.. I don't think having too big a doide will hurt you.
