Engine Stall

When the car has been operating at temperature and I agressivelly brake the engine can stall. Often it will restart without issue however there are times when it will not restart....meaning the engine doesn't turn over. If it sets for a few minuets, the car starts and runs fine. The battery is new and operates correctly. What's up?
